International Regulations on English tests

1) IELTS :

Description: Evaluate the level of international English. English test is a high quality which calls for admission to universities and higher education internationally. Also an essential part of the immigration process in several countries

Framework: The four Band Scores, one for each section are added together and averaged for an Overall Band Score. Each Band has a statement giving a summary of the English at that level. There are nine Band levels, from one (non- user) to nine (expert user).

The minimum score accepted for a course ranges from 5.0 to 7.5, depending upon courses and institutes you are applying to. The most common requirement is a band score of 6 to 6.5

IELTS assesses the four language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) using the format of 'pen and paper. " The oral exam (Speaking) consists of a personal interview.

2) TOEFL :

Description: test measures your ability to communicate in English in colleges and universities, it is the most widely accepted English-language test in the world.
You can take the Internet-based Test (iBT) or the Paper-based Test (PBT), depending on which format is offered at your test center.

Framework:
• TOEFL iBT : To earn a score on the TOEFL test, you must do all of the following: answer at least 1 question in the Reading section answer at least 1 question in the Listening section write at least 1 essay in the Writing section finish at least 1 task in the Speaking section

You will receive a score on each section and a total score for the entire test. You will also receive feedback on your performance and a description of tasks that test takers can do within the score range for each level.

There is no passing or failing score; score requirements are established by individual institutions or agencies. TOEFL iBT scores are valid for 2 years after the test date.

• TOEFL PBT: To earn a score on the TOEFL PBT, you must do all of the following:
• Answer at least 1 question in Listening Comprehension
• Answer at least 1 question in Reading Comprehension
• Answer at least 1 question in Structure and Written Expression

You will receive a score on each section and a total score for the entire test. Each correct answer counts equally toward the score for that section. The total number of correct answers is called the "raw score."
There is no passing or failing score. Score requirements are established by individual institutions and agencies. TOEFL PBT Scores are valid for 2 years

3) FCE:

Description : Is an exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate level. It is an ideal exam for people who want to use English for work or study purposes.

Framework: has five papers:

Reading: 1 hour
You will need to be able to understand information in fiction and non-fiction books, journals, newspapers and magazines.
Writing: 1 hour 20 minutes
You will have to show you can produce two different pieces of writing such as a short story, a letter, an article, a report, a review or an essay.
Use of English: 45 minutes
Your use of English will be tested by tasks which show how well you control your grammar and vocabulary.
Listening: 40 minutes
You need to show you can understand the meaning of a range of spoken material, including news programmes, speeches, stories and anecdotes and public announcements.
Speaking: 14 minutes
You will take the Speaking test with another candidate or in a group of three, and you will be tested on your ability to take part in different types of interaction: with the examiner, with the other candidates and by yourself

Your results Each component of the exam carries 20% of the total marks.
here are three Pass grades, A, B and C — candidates reaching these grades are awarded a certificate. Candidates achieving grades D or E do not receive a certificate.

Opinion : In my humble opinion I believe the best is the TOEFL test because it is a test that measures ability to communicate over large areas besides providing an opportunity to do so based on the internet or on paper according to the needs of each person, besides that find a complete test and different from other tests is that this does not retest or not "pass", if not make the results which are valid for two years

Well the truth is that I agree and disagree with this quote. Why?

I agree because I think it is very important to believe in yourself. To make decisions or believe in something is important to begin to believe in yourself first. Every day we face challenges in which one have to make decisions or rely on some people is essential to believe in yourself because that is very helpful when to do it.

Moreover I disagree because i think is important to believe in one but not so important as to say That if you believe in yourself, you will know how to live, there are also other factors about life to be learned , to know how to live well and make the correct choices.

I liked the phrase because I believe that is true and important to believe in one and sometimes is the key to living the nice an correct way.

IF I HAD SUPERPOWERS, I WOULD...

if I had superpowers would do many things. I would love to have the power to become invisible because so could go to places and I can not go to spy and do many crazy things. I would also like to fly because I find it must be the best feeling in the world, if I had these powers would be very funny because many things would make fun, crazy and flying to all places would come in time.

If I had powers I think he would say very few people, to the nearest person, because then everyone would know and and I do not like it.

And finally I love to be a wonder woman ! and that would help combat crime and would catch the thieves, it would be fun:).

What is your biggest dream ?

well , good cuestion..I have a lot of dreams but , I have one in especial and
this is be a doctor. I feel that dream is so important for me because my
parents are doctors and I' am agree the pasion for the medicine just like them ,
my biggest dream is able give them all they have done for me and I hope to do :) .

I believe that with hard work can fulfill my dream, my parents always going to support me and that is why I'll be a great doctor and fulfill my greatest dream.

I hope to fulfill my dream and be the best at what I do :)

T h e C h o c o l a t e

Chocolate is the food that is made by mixing sugar with two products arising frim handling of the seeds of cacao ; a subject matter and fat.

The chocolate may possess certain beneficial on human health apart from being an aphrodisiac and also thanks to the substance theobromine which is responsible for that chocolate has the property of being a stimulant. And that is why chocolate is very good to be eaten with modeling.

Chile's Reconstruction

After the earthquake, many cities was devastated and many families lost their homes. I think that Chile's Reconstruction is a work that all have to help and little by little Chile will go to forward. For me, it's very important that the young people are working voluntarily constructing homes witch help very families. I think that the priority of Chile now, is the reconstruction because the winter come and many familias dont have homes.

I hope that will be fine and Chile will be the country that was.

The Resurrection

For the Catholic religion is a very important celebration, but for me and my family the resurrection of Jesus was a very important event because after being crucified to save us from our sins, resurrected to be with us every day of my life. The resurrection takes place tomorrow, Sunday 4-04-10, where the most important is the search for chocolate eggs which bothers me and I find it ridiculous because the true meaning of this celebration is not taken into account.
